Lavender Ridge Winery

About

The Property

In 2005 the Fournier’s purchased and developed a vineyard on an 11-acre site on the famous Black Sage Road. The site, just north of Burrowing Owl and Black Hills Estate Winery, is truly one of BC’s great vineyard locations. The property slopes gently to the south and has a 1,000 foot frontage on Black Sage Road, where a perfect winery site exists at the extreme south end of the property and allows for the bulk of the winery to be constructed into the cliff with the wine shop and offices on the main floor. Plans call for geo-thermal and some solar panels in the future, making it one of the few wineries in the Okanagan Valley to use both of these technologies.

The Fournier Family currently owns a 15 acre producing vineyard situated close to the proposed winery. The grapes from their vineyard have produced numerous award-winning wines from various wineries around the province. The grapes produced by their vineyard will be used in the production of wines within Lavender Ridge Winery.

At present, Lavender Ridge Winery has one grower under contract and Ron with his contacts with the various growers in the area will be able to provide the high quality of grapes required to achieve the escalation of wine production.
