Varieties & Wine Styles

At present, Lavender Ridge Winery has one grower under contract and Ron with his contacts with the various growers in the area will be able to provide the high quality of grapes required to achieve the escalation of wine production.

The varieties of wine produced will be as follows:

White Varieties
Pinot Gris, Viognier, Rousanne (small lots)

Red Varieties
Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel (small lots)

Rhone Style Blend
Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, Cinsaut, Viognier

Bordeaux Style Blend
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec

We are currently in the production process for an April 2009 release of 1,050 cases of Red Wine and 2,000 cases of White Wine. Plans are to increase production to 9,600 cases over the next few years, which could be escalated to a capacity of 14,000 cases.
